I think this is related - how about background processing, whereby the user can continue to work on Chunk A (i.e. setting GCPs etc) while Chunk(s) X are being processed.

You can work on a second instance of photoscan, but I agree with James, it would be nice to do some sort of background multitasking while a model is processing. Even being able to scroll through the console dialog while processing would be nice.

Great Idea James. It will allow do corrections to idle chunks and view processed ones.

A simpler way to solve this might be to add a feature to import / export chunks from other project files. Then users can run 2 projects with 2 instances of Photoscan open and then merge them together into one project file later.

You can do this with the 'Append' feature in the File menu, but agree it might be improved if you could select a specific chunk to import rather than all or nothing.

There's always a way around, for everything. However feature request is not only for something that doesn't exist, but also for something that makes your life easier and saves time.

I agree, but simpler work arounds require less time to program, I think it depends how much of a priority this is to the Agisoft team.

Would be nice to see a reasonable answer here as well.
